Meramec Elementary School

The English Language Learners (ELL) Program provides international children in grades K-5 with intensive language instruction and socialization experiences.  The amount of time per day in the ELL classroom is dependent upon individual student needs.  Meramec has a part-time ELL teacher and a part-time teacher assistant who work with our students.

For beginning students, the curriculum focuses on communication skills and social language.  For more experienced students, the curriculum is more content based.  For all students, the program goal is full integration into all academic and nonacademic activities at Meramec School.
