2018–2019
In August 2018, the School District of Clayton implemented siginificant changes to the Gifted Program, including identification, means of delivery, and curriculum content. In support of these changes, PGL elected to largely suspend our independent events for this school year and, instead, focus on participating and supporting District-led initiatives and events. We collaborated with the District to put on a Parent Night for Gifted Learners, which was held February 27, 2019. This was a two-part event that included a resource fair followed by breakout sessions on topics including Gifted Is More Than Smart—Intensities of Giftedness, Perfectionism, Gifted Children and Emotional Explosion, and Utilizing Critical Thinking & Intellectual Standards in Gifted Curriculum.
