    3rd Annual Clayton Resource Fair for Families of Gifted Children

    Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 6:30–8:00 pm, Wydown Middle School

    Are you looking for afterschool or summer programs/camps for your kids? Look no further! At this adults-only, two-part event, open to all Clayton families, representatives from area resources will be on hand with information about their afterschool and summer programs and to answer questions. There are options for all ages (K–12) and a vast array of interest areas. Confirmed vendors are the following:

    • St. Louis Community College Continuing Education
    • Contemporary Art Museum of St. Louis
    • Project MEGSSS
    • Washington University in St. Louis Pre-College Programs
    • St. Louis Chess Club
    • Gifted Support Network
    • College for Kids, Inc.
    • PEGS North and South
    • IMACS Math Enrichment
    • Gifted Arts

    Then, beginning at 7 pm, each of the District’s five gifted specialists will lead a 30-minute parent education/information session on topics that relate to the unique social and emotional needs of gifted children. All five sessions will repeat again at 7:30. For those interested in more than two sessions, please know all sessions will be recorded and links to these will be available here, via the District website.

     

    Gifted Program Curriculum Night for Parents of Gifted Students 

    September 18, 2019, 6 pm, Wydown Middle School

    PGL is teaming up with the School District of Clayton to host this two-part event. The district's Gifted Specialists will present a curricular overview, including their use of Design Thinking and "rigorous whimsy," followed by a presentation by Emily Kircher-Morris, MA, MED, LPC, on parenting gifted children.
