    Get Involved in PGL!

Our ability to support gifted learners is dependent upon the passion and diversity of the parents involved. If you have a gifted child, we encourage you to participate in our committee meetings!

    NEW: Parent Support Groups

PGL has teamed up with Gifted Support Network to offer parent support groups for all interested parents in our region. These groups provide a safe, comfortable place for parents of gifted and twice-exceptional kids to share our experiences and learn ways to better support our children at home and at school. For more information, reach out to Chris at chrisjif@gmail.com or Rachel at rachelstohler@yahoo.com.

    NEW: Parent Representatives/Liaisons

PGL is providing two parent co-reps to serve each school in our District. These co-reps will help support the Gifted Specialist, be available to answer questions of fellow parents, and serve as a liaison between each school and PGL. We are still looking for a few more volunteers; please contact Rachel Stohler at rachelstohler@yahoo.com with questions.

Community Building and Parent Education Committee
This committee seeks to build a parent community that understands and nurtures gifted learners. We accomplish this by hosting open houses, disseminating resources, engaging in meaningful discussions related to gifted learners, and gathering for social events.

    Advocacy Committee
The advocacy committee seeks to actively contribute to the betterment of the gifted program in Clayton. We accomplish this by facilitating dialogue and strengthening communication between the School District of Clayton and parents of gifted learners.
