Are You Ready to Face the Challenges of Parenting Your Children
Through the Teen Years?
WHO: Parents of 4th-7th Grade Students
(We are also offering a Staying Connected with Your Teen class to parents of 7th-12th graders. Contact Anne Wilding if you would like more information.)
WHAT: Guiding Good Choices Parenting Class facilitated by Katie Monteil and Jani Holyan.
WHY? This is an award-winning curriculum that has proven to make a difference in your child’s ability to make healthy choices through their teen years. It has been used with over 120,000 families and is a model program. Last year’s participants’ evaluations told us: 100% felt their family rules were clearer. 97% felt they learned effective prevention skills and resources to help their family resist drug abuse. 74% felt they were more bonded as a family.- “The tools and valuable information we learned will help us for years to come.”
- “ I know how to be the kind of parent my child will want to talk to.”
- “I feel so prepared to handle dilemmas we had.”
- “I highly recommend this class for any parent who is concerned about the current and future influences that their children will be presented with. You will not be disappointed.”
WHEN: Tuesday Nights from 6:15 to 8:00 p.m. Mar. 30, Sept. 21, April 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2010.
The Apr. 20 Class includes your 4th-7th Grader. Pizza, salad, and dessert will be provided for this class.
