ALL CLASSES ARE CONSTANTLY LISTENING FOR COGNATES! ¡TODOS ESTÁN BUSCANDO COGNADOS!

Classroom norms and using our environment as a teacher.

(Norms are specific to each class.  However, I ask that each student THINKS before he/she speaks or acts.
T, is it TRUE? H, is it HELPFUL? I, is it INSPIRING? N, is it NECESSARY? K, is it KIND? S, is it safe?)

I regularly use TPRS/Comprensible Input instruction and would love for you to know more about.  I recommend visiting this site- What is TPRS?   What is comprehensible input anyway?

The website provides students with the opportunity to practice Spanish outside of class and keeps parents updated about what we are studying. If there is not written homework, please visit youtube and watch a video or two from your child's grade level playlist to learn (or review) together.  Link to video playlists by grade level

OR...visit a local Spanish speaking area, restaurant, art exhibit and discuss your experience with the family while encouraging your child to share these experiences at school.

IF YOU ARE NOT TRAVELING BUT HAVE A SMARTPHONE AND ANY TYPE OF VIRTUAL REALITY DEVICE, PLEASE TAKE A TRIP TO A SPANISH SPEAKING COUNTRY TODAY!  MY FAVE THAT WE HAVE USED IN ALL 2ND-5TH CLASSES IS GOOGLE EXPEDITIONS, check it out at https://www.commonsense.org/education/app/expeditions
