Quizlet is a great way to practice vocabulary! We'll be using it in class, and you can use it at home or on your smartphone to become a MASTER of SPANISH VOCABULARY!Here's the process:Go to quizlet.comBe sure to sign up for a free account, and add our classFor grade 6: Español 6 WMS 2013For grade 7: Español 7 WMSFor grade 8: Español 8 WMS 2013You will need to open your email and click the link to activate your account.Now it's time to get practicing.1. Select one of the flashcard sets that have been assigned to the class (it should contain the vocabulary we have been studying)2. Use the Flashcards. Click the speaker button to enable audio.You may like to go through the stack twice. First, with the Spanish side displayed, try to name the English for that term. Next, choose the English first tab, and try to name the Spanish for the English term. Practice the words out loud! This step is essential for mastering the vocabulary.3. Try the Speller. Simply write what you hear. You can switch from fast Spanish to slow Spanish by changing the choice in the dropdown menu on the left.4. Check your readiness by using the Learn tab. You can practice translation or audio recognition by turning on the Speak It tab.5.Now it's time to show what you've learned! Click the test button to generate a 20 question quiz. Complete the quiz and submit itImportant: take a screen shot of your score (shift+command+4). Drag the crosshairs to include the name of the vocabulary set and the score.6. Share your results with Señor Johnson. Drag your picture into a googledoc and share it with me: micahjohnson@claytonschools.net. Title your googledoc Quizlet scores for ______ (your name). Use this document each time you complete another quiz. You should score 80% or better before moving on. This is how you will earn credit for your practice, so do not skip this step.7. Now for the fun part! Compete against the class and the world to earn the high scores on the Scatter and Space Race games. Earn an extra point for holding the high score!
