In the School District of Clayton we implement a reading workshop daily. During this workshop time, we begin with a mini-lesson to share teaching points with the class. After the lesson, students practice their reading independently. While students are reading, the teacher will work one-on-one or with small groups to teach specific skills and strategies in response to what those particular students need.
