Meramec Elementary School

Lunches are purchased using a bar code system.  Lunch envelopes are provided so that students may deposit money into their lunch accounts by indicating their name and the amount being deposited.  Please send all deposits to the school office.  Please do not send cash with your child unless it is an envelope clearly marked with his/her name.  Please make checks payable to School District of Clayton.

We make every effort to communicate with you about your child's lunch account balance.  Please help us by staying current; we do not want our children worrying about whether or not they have money in their accounts.  When the account has $5 or less, a low balance letter will be sent home with your child.  The student then has approximately 2-3 days of meals served between the time the low balance letter is sent and changes in food service occur.  You may deposit any amount into your child's account.

After lunch, students will have recess outside on the playground or in the classroom (in case of inclement weather).  All lunch and recess periods are scheduled for forty minutes.
