To ensure the safety and health of our children, Meramec, like Captain and Glenridge will not be continuing the practice of serving any food items or treats as part of birthday celebrations. Instead, grade level teams will communicate their plans to parents for acknowledging your child's birthday.
In the office we will announce your child's birthday to the entire school during morning announcements as well as giving each child a birthday pencil, bookmark and sticker from the office.
The classroom will sing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday boy/girl. Please note our Board of Education "nut free" policy on the district's website. If your child is having a birthday party outside of school, please do not distribute invitations at school unless the entire class is invited.
We appreciate your support and partnership in making sure Meramec is a safe place for all children.
