Bus Procedure
A note from a parent is required any time a student has plans other than riding the bus. This will help us make certain we keep your child safe and comply with your wishes.
Bicycle Safety
For the safety and welfare of our students we have outlined the following list of bicycle rules to be followed during the school day:
walk bicycles on the sidewalks on Northwood
provide locks for all bicycles and lock them to the bike rack located at the front entrance, not on the chain fences
do not bring skateboards to school
Pedestrian Safety
Children who walk to school should stay on the sidewalk. They should cross the street only at the corner or designated crosswalk. Children should not take short-cuts through driveways or alleys.
Safety Patrol
Captain School Safety Patrol consists of a volunteer group of boys and girls. They provide a service to the school and community. To guarantee the effectiveness of the patrol members all children are told to follow their directions. Their posts are at crucial and busy intersections. The City of Clayton also provides a crossing guard at Wydown and Cecil.
