    Dr. Monica Holy began her music education training at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. There she trained with the Arianna String Quartet and specifically worked with John McGrosso who studied with the acclaimed Dorothy Delay. Holy received a B.A. in Music Education in 2006 from The University of Missouri-St. Louis as well as her M.A. in Music Education in 2010 and finally her Doctorate in Music Education from Liberty University in 2022.
     
    To begin her career, Holy dedicated six years of teaching to the Hazelwood School District. In Hazelwood she more than doubled the size of the orchestra program at the middle school level. Over one hundred students participated in her middle school orchestra program yearly, many of whom were accepted into the St. Louis All-Suburban Orchestra, Alton Youth Orchestra, and St. Charles Youth Orchestra. Her middle school groups received an honor one rating at The St. Louis Solo and Ensemble Competition (2008-2013), and St. Louis Festival Competition (2013). Holy was a guest conductor for the Hazelwood Honors All-District Orchestra (2008-2010) and a judge for The St. Louis All-Suburban-middle and high school level orchestra (2010-2013). She is also a judge for the ILMEA for 2013 and 2014. In 2010 she wrote a methods book for sixth grade orchestra to help with differentiated learning.  
     
    Mrs. Monica Holy currently teaches at all three elementary schools in Clayton School District as well as conducting the ViBravo Orchestra Ensemble once a week after school since 2013. ViBravo Orchestra has performed at the MMEA state conference in 2019 and the ASTA National Conference in 2024. She currently teaches over 15 students private lessons each week at her private lesson studio.
