    Vivace & Bridge Ensembles 

     

    Once students have mastered the fifth grade music, they are invited to audition for the Vivace String Orchestra under the direction of Mariana Wood. Currently, the orchestra is comprised of over 20 students who are a product of school district instruction. The group is available to any elementary string student or 6th grade viola, cello or bass student that can perform the audition material. This program offers elementary and middle school students additional challenges above their regular school orchestra. Students are selected based on note reading ability, intonation, and overall musicianship. The Vivace String Ensemble meets once weekly for 45 minutes. Once students have mastered Vivace material they are encouraged to audition for Bridge and then ViBravo String Ensemble.
     
    Auditions are set for: August (1st concert material) and February (2nd concert material)
