    My name is Brenda Hendricks and I am thrilled to be your child’s kindergarten teacher. I am the teacher of the Hearts. I began my teaching career in 1994. 

     

    I grew up on a grain and livestock farm 30 miles south of Springfield, Illinois. I attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education/Special Education. I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. My teaching experience has been in kindergarten, first and second grade. I have been very fortunate to teach in various locations across the United States as well as Australia and Japan. 

     

    I have three children and one crazy dog, Winnie.  Peter is 25 and lives in Pennsylvania.  Lilly (15) and Julianne (12) attend school in Edwardsville, Illinois.
