    A little about me...


    I began working in the Clayton School District in 2008 teaching English Language Learners and small reading groups at both Glenridge and Captain Elementary.  I began teaching 2nd grade in August 2011.  I have my Masters in Education with a focus in Reading from Fontbonne University.  I feel very fortunate to spend my days with children and am dedicated to sharing my love of learning.  Every year I am amazed at each student's growth from August to June.  Clayton has a remarkable group of educators that I have the pleasure of learning from and working with.  I also love getting to know my students' families and teaming with parents to support their children.

    I am a native of St. Louis, but moved to Dallas to attend Southern Methodist University in 1989.  After graduating with a degree in Business, I moved frequently living in Virginia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Taiwan and China until rejoining my extended family in St. Louis in 2001.  My  husband, Mark, and I are proud parents of 3 Clayton graduates.  My youngest daughter, Ella, will be a Junior at Colorado College. My daughter, Beatrice Rose, is a scientist in Raleigh, North Carolina and my son, Noah, is an officer with the US Navy. 
    I look forward to meeting and getting to know each student and family.
