• About Ms. Miller

I am a graduate of the Clayton School District and very excited to have returned home.  I graduated from Northwestern University with  B.S. in Education and Social Studies.  Before coming to Clayton, I taught in the Hazelwood School District.   I also have my Master's from University of Missouri-Columbia in English Education with a concentration in Journalism Education through their online program.  I have completed additional hours in history and education through Webster University and University of Missouri-Columbia. I recently completed my doctoral degree in education through Antioch University.

I have taken a number of professional development courses through Clayton - including Lab Classroom, Adaptive Schools, Google Certification Level 1, and Cognitive Coaching.  The district initiatives around equity, social-emotional learning, and problem based learning are all important and are also an important part of my planning and curriculum design.

My family is really important to me. I also love learning new things! Currently, I am working on doing more animation and mastering that skill! I also love to knit, do art, read, write, stay active, and garden.

I look forward to an excellent and fun year of social studies!
