Certified parent educators, employed by Clayton schools and trained in child development, get to know you and your family through personal visits, providing individualized support until your last child goes off to kindergarten. We listen to your questions, concerns and observations and offer strategies to encourage and equip you to manage the daily routines and challenging stages of early childhood.
Research-based curriculum is provided on each visit covering topics such as healthy sleep and nutrition, safety proofing, supporting language development, dealing with temper tantrums, encouraging pre-reading and math skills and much more!
Visits are an hour and can take place at your home, the Family Center, a local park or other place of interest. We meet with families throughout the year, and determine the frequency together. A mix of in-person, virtual or phone meetings helps accommodate busy schedules.
