Doug Verby is the Head Coach for the Brentwood Clayton Football team. He is entering his 21st year teaching Science at Clayton High School and 20th year on the football coaching staff.

Coach Verby is a graduate of Parkway North High School where he played football, lacrosse and wrestled. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry and Master’s of Arts in Education from Truman State University.

Coach Verby lives in Brentwood with his wife Ranie and two daughters River and Reagan.

Coach Robin is entering his 7th season of coaching the offensive and defensive lines. Before this season he had experience coaching for Brentwood High School and Marquette High School. He currently works as the Middle School PE Teacher in the Brentwood School District.

Coach Robin graduated Hazelwood Central High in 2003 where he played football, basketball, baseball and golf. After high school, he went on to earn his BS in Education K-12 PE/Health from UMSL and then his MEd in Athletics/Activities Administration from William Woods.

He currently lives in Lake St. Louis with his wife Jen and their two daughters Delaney (8) and Lily (4).

Coach Kobler is entering his 15th season as a coach. The previous 13 seasons, coach Kobler has been a volunteer assistant at Brentwood High School. Coach Kobler will be working with the quarterbacks and defensive backs. 

Kobler is a 2009 graduate of Brentwood High School where he was a 4 year letter winner in Football, Basketball and Baseball. Coach is still the current all time career and season passing leader at Brentwood. He also holds the records for most completions in a season. Kobler went on to play college baseball at Stlcc Meramec where he was a bullpen pitch for 2 years.

Coach Kobler is a Owner of a local trucking company he started back in 2013 called J.A. Freight LLC. Coach lives in Creve Coeur with his wife Jessica and his twin boys Mason (4) Matthew (4)

Coach Myron Fletcher is entering his fourth year as CHS and his second year as Defensive Coordinator. This will be his 16th year coaching. Coach Fletcher’s prior experience includes coaching at McCluer High School, Francis Howell North and Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School.

He attended Hazelwood East High School where he was a two year letterman. He had the privilege of playing Professional Indoor Football as a cornerback for the St. Charles Believers. Coach Fletcher has trained some of the best athletes in the area.

Coach Fletcher is a Learning Center Interventionist Teacher at Clayton High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communication from Lindenwood University and is currently pursuing a Masters degree. 

Coach Fletcher is married to his lovely wife LaSonta. They have a brilliant son named Zachary attending Wydown Middle School. 

He is excited and eager to work with this staff and team.

Coach Rob Findley is a Brentwood High graduate where he was a standout RB/LB and high jumper. Findley is entering his 21st season coaching football and track & field.  While at Independence Community College, he played football and became an indoor and outdoor All American high jumper.  Findley Played 6yrs for 3 different teams in the National Indoor Football League.

Coach Findley was also the Offensive Coordinator for Brentwood's 2009 state runner-up appearance & the 2016 final four appearance. Coaching stops include 2017 Elite football academy & 2021 St.Louis Bandits of the American Arena Football League.

Coach Ty Martin is entering his 13th year of coaching football and 2nd year with the Brentwood/Clayton Greyhounds as JV Head Coach and Linebacker/Running Back Varsity Coach. Coach Martin’s prior experiences include: Normandy High School (special teams), Vashon High School (JV Head Coach/Varsity Offensive Coordinator), Carnahan High School (JV Head Coach/Assistant Varsity Offensive Coordinator), Bishop DuBourg High (Head Varsity Coach), Roosevelt High School (Varsity Offensive Coordinator), and Riverview Gardens HIgh School (Varsity Offensive Coordinator). 

Coach Martin graduated from Eureka Senior High School where he led his team in tackles for two years in a row as an All-Conference Linebacker. He played outside linebacker for one season at Kemper Military College before graduating from Harris Stowe State University with a bachelor of science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. 

In addition to coaching football, Ty has also coached track & field at the varsity level and has been an educator for over 12 years. He has served as a middle school social studies teacher, middle school athletic director, high school assistant athletic director, and district assistant athletic director. He currently serves as the Home to School Coordinator at Riverview Gardens High School. Coach Martin is pursuing a Master’s degree in athletic administration. 

Coach Martin lives in St. Louis with his wife, Rae. He is the proud father of Taranda, Tyree, and Zion and the proud “paw-paw” of Tayvin. Coach Martin is excited to be an addition to the Brentwood/Clayton Greyhound family!

Coach Lloyd is entering his 10th year coaching football. This is his 2nd year coaching for the Brentwood/Clayton Football team as a offensive and defensive line coach and his 4th year teaching PE within the Clayton School district at Wydown Middle School. Before moving back to the St. Louis area Coach Lloyd lived in Colorado Springs, CO where he taught PE and coached both Varsity/JV football and wrestling for 9 years at Sierra High School, Vista Ridge High School, and Pikes Peak Christian School (K-12). 

Coach Lloyd is an 07’ graduate of Hazelwood Central High School (GO HAWKS!) where he participated in football (left guard & defensive tackle) and wrestled (215lb). He earned his Bachelor’s in Physical Education at York College now known as York University in York, NE where he also wrestled (275lb). Coach Lloyd lives in the St. Charles County area with his wife Sara, his daughter Zuri, and two dogs: Zeus and Athena.

Coach Lloyd is excited about this opportunity to coach the Brentwood/Clayton Football team and looks forward to a great season. GO GREYHOUNDS!!

Coach Gietl will be entering his 4th year working for Clayton School District and his first year of coaching the offensive and defensive line. He attended Pattonville High School where he played defensive end, tight end and kicker. He is currently a senior at Lindenwood University where he is studying to get his bachelors in Elementary Education.

Jeff Manestar is a 1984 Graduate of Brentwood High School where he played baseball and football.  He continued his baseball career at Forest Park CC for 2 years and UMSL for a semester before graduating with a BS in criminal justice from UMSL.  During his college career he began coaching the BHS middle school football program. In 2000, he joined the staff for BHS football where he has continued for more than 23 years.  Coach Manestar served as a Brentwood city police officer for 26 years before retiring in 2018.  Coach Manestar began his career as a Clayton police officer in Clayton for a year before being hired by Brentwood. Jeff is married to his wife Cindy and has 2 boys, Nathan and Jason- both recent BHS grads. 

Coach Matt Fry is entering his 9th year as a volunteer coach with CHS. Coach Fry will work with offensive and defensive linemen.  

He attended Clayton High School where he was a two time team captain and a part of CHS’ first undefeated regular season in 1997. Coach Fry was voted Most Valuable Lineman in ‘96 and ‘97 and still holds the CHS bench record of 440 pounds. He had the privilege of playing college football at Colorado College. 

Coach Fry is an attorney with Rosenblum, Schwartz, and Fry and runs a youth sports non-profit named St. Louis Impact.

Jon Waldman is an offensive line and linebackers coach entering his fifth year working with the team. He works as a Manager at the CPA firm, Ernst & Young.

Coach Waldman graduated from Clayton High in 2013, where he was a two time captain and helped lead the team to a District championship & State Quarterfinals appearance. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Accountancy at the University of Missouri.

Coach Waldman lives in Clayton with his wife, Emily.
