What is the Glenridge Chorus?

The Glenridge Chorus is a non-auditioned group open to all Glenridge 4th and 5th graders who love to sing.

When and where does Chorus meet?

Chorus meets before school on Tuesdays (4th grade) and Wednesdays (5th grade) from 7:45-8:30am in the music room. The week before a concert, 4th and 5th grade students will meet together for joint rehearsals in the gym. (See the schedule to the right.)  Students may arrive no earlier than 7:35am as our office is not open before then.  Chorus will begin on September 24 (4th grade) and 25 (5th grade).

Do I have to pay a fee to participate in Chorus?

There is NO fee to participate in Chorus, however, students are required to purchase a Chorus shirt to be worn at concerts (see Concert Attire below).  This shirt will be used for both 4th and 5th grade Chorus, so 4th grade students will not need to purchase a new shirt next year.  Concerts are free for parents to attend, but the purchase of a Cardinals ticket will be required for each student (and family member) that chooses to sing at the Cardinal’s game in the spring (more info will come later this year).

Concert Attire

Our uniform for concerts consists of a Chorus shirt, dark pants/skirt (jeans ok), and dark shoes. The Chorus shirt is a lime-green t-shirt bearing the design below. Shirts are anticipated to cost $10-12.

How do I sign up?

Fill out the digital permission slip (Google Form).

This information will be used to keep you up to date about chorus activities.  I will also be using the Remind website/app.  Please make sure you are signed up for this service to receive important messages (4th Grade | 5th Grade).  If you would prefer for me to sign you up, please mark that on your permission slip.
