• Model United Nations

    7th and 8th grade Wydown Middle School students are eligible to participate in Model United Nations. We participate in the Civitas Model UN program. Students select a countries to represent, research and write resolutions to present at a Model United Nations General Assembly. Mr. Solomon and Ms. Beeson meet with interested students twice monthy on Wednesdays after school.
     
    Civitas is a St. Louis-based not-for-profit organization. They organize Model United Nations programs and activities that promote active citizenship and world awareness for high-school and middle-schools students attending public, private and parochial schools.

  • National Geographic Bee

    After making the difficult decision to cancel the 2020-2021 GeoBee. National Geographic has decided to permanently discontinue the National Geographic GeoBee. 

    The Social Studies department is in discussion to determine an outlet for students to explore geographic competency beyond what is part of our guaranteed curriculum.
