Dear Fifth Grade Families,

I am so excited to welcome all of you to fifth grade!!  Fifth grade is an incredible year!  It is one that will bring about dreams of the possibilities ahead, opportunities for leadership and growth, and chances to see the world from different perspectives.  I can't wait to meet each of you and begin to build our community together! 

This year will be my fourteenth year at Captain, and I feel so privileged to be a part of this community!  It is truly inspiring to be a part of the great learning that occurs here each and every day!  When I am not here at school, I love to do many different things.  I love spending time with my husband, my children, my family, and my dog, Rosie.  We love to travel, cook, and explore the great outdoors!  I also love running, watching all kinds of sports, playing golf, and gardening.  In addition, I have a passion for art, especially drawing and painting, and I absolutely love to write and read as often as I can!  

I look forward to getting to know each of you and learning with all of you this year!  As we begin our journey, please know that I am here to answer any questions that may arise and support you in any way I can!!
